Egress Software Technologies, one of the UK’s leading providers of encryption services, has joined with the public sector partnership iNetwork, which provides support to public service organisations across the North, to inform strategy and implementation of more effective and secure ways of working across organisations.

Established to help local public services collectively innovate and improve, the partnership will see iNetwork’s members benefitting from Egress’ extensive experience and capabilities in secure information sharing.

As shown by several national initiatives, such as Ending Gang and Youth Violence and Caldicott 2, effective information sharing sits at the heart of public service reform. In addition, information security and data protection also play key roles in helping to ensure communities have confidence in their local services. As such, there has never been a greater need for local public services to improve the ways they share information effectively and securely.

Daniel Hoy, UK Marketing Manager at Egress, comments: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with iNetwork. With a customer base that includes 25% of UK local authorities, central government departments, blue light organisations and the extended ‘supply chain’, Egress is well placed to support iNetwork’s vision for the Public Sector. Together, we intend to help organisations across the North to streamline and secure their working processes to, ultimately, enhance service provision throughout and between multiple agencies.”

Phil Swan, Partnership Director at iNetwork, says: “We have worked with Egress for some time and many of our members have been impressed with their capabilities. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of what Egress has to offer and to tap into their expertise in this increasingly critical area. Having Egress on board supports what we are trying to achieve not only in our Effective Information Sharing & Security programme but also for our Service Redesign & Reform activities”.
