The ‘Effective Service Redesign’ Peer Support Network ran its first event last month. We had presentations from both North Yorkshire Council and Bradford Council who discussed their successes, challenges and progress in this area. We then had a great discussion to start outlining what would make an effective peer support group, what areas of service redesign people are most interested in, what the structure of transformation work is across different organisations, and finally what this group would like to accomplish.
This networking group is:
- For those working in process redesign, customer journey or process mapping, business analysts, transformation and change.
- This group is agnostic of the tool you use.
- We envisage that this group is going to become a place where the public sector can come together to share and map processes cross-organisationally, alleviating some of the duplication of work and supporting more streamlined processes.
- We have the aim to support a regional library of processes shared across councils.
In the next session we will be joined by Rachael Dixon from Somerset Council who will be discussing how they have navigated service design through LGR, learnings including what could have been done differently and what Somerset are now doing to hit the restart button for Service Design. We will then open up into a discussion.
We hope you can make it, please register here.
