We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the 6th Annual Northern WARP Conference on Friday 03rd July 2026, continuing our established cyber collaboration across the North. The Northern WARP conference is a cyber collaboration across the North which includes the North West WARP, Yorkshire and Humber WARP and IS North East WARP and brings together members from across the UK to connect, collaborate and share best practice.
The conference will be a hybrid event, welcoming delegates to attend in person at the Kings House Conference Centre, Manchester, or to join us online via our dedicated conference platform. The venue is centrally located, just a short walk from Oxford Road Station, making it easily accessible for those travelling into Manchester.
The theme for this year is Protecting Public Data: The Human Factor. This year’s conference focuses on the people behind cyber security and data protection exploring how human behaviour, leadership, culture, lived experience and adversary mindset shape organisational resilience.
The conference will provide an engaging space for public sector cyber security practitioners, information governance professionals, digital leaders and innovators to hear from expert speakers across government, academia and industry. While there will still be technical insight and guidance throughout the day, the emphasis is firmly on understanding and strengthening the human elements of security.
We are proud to announce four keynote panel sessions that will anchor the day:
- Keynote Panel 1: When Cyber Gets Personal – Cyber Security Through Real Lived Experience
- Keynote Panel 2: Making Security Stick – How to Turn Culture Change into Reality
- Keynote Panel 3: Leadership at the Frontline – Shaping Cyber and Data Resilience
- Keynote Panel 4: Know Your Enemy – Understanding Threat Actor Mindsets to Strengthen Resilience
Alongside our keynote panels, delegates can look forward to a range of seminar sessions and interactive activities. We will also be live-streaming a significant portion of the event and hosting several dedicated online sessions for delegates who are unable to travel to Manchester.
The full agenda will be released soon and includes a range of inspiring speakers from across the cyber and information governance landscape.
This conference is free to attend for anyone holding a current WARP membership with any WARP in the UK. WARPs are trusted forums for local public sector cyber security and data protection officers to collaborate, receive threat intelligence and share best practice. There is a WARP in every part of the UK. Paid tickets are available (public sector only) for non?WARP members.
