On 3 July, we hosted our 6th Annual Northern WARP Conference in Manchester, and it was our best one yet!
This year’s event welcomed more than 200 delegates, both in person and online, making it our largest conference to date. Attendees heard from an impressive lineup of expert speakers who shared valuable insights into the latest developments across the cyber security and information governance landscape.
The theme for this year’s conference, The Human Factor, resonated throughout the day. Our speakers delivered thought-provoking presentations and panel discussions, exploring topics including lived experience, leadership, culture change, and building organisational resilience. Their expertise and passion brought the theme to life, highlighting the critical role people play in strengthening cyber security.
We were also delighted to be joined by 19 exhibitors, creating a vibrant and engaging exhibition hall filled with expertise, innovation, networking opportunities, and, of course, plenty of giveaways. A special thank you goes to our headline sponsor, Aspire Technology Solutions, along with all our sponsors whose support helped make the event such a success. Their contribution the opening panel talk around lived experience of a cyber attack was invaluable. We would also like to thank all of our exhibiting partners for their contribution and continued collaboration.
The feedback received from delegates and partners was overwhelmingly positive, with many Northern WARP members already looking forward to next year’s event. Some of the comments we received included:
- A brilliantly organised conference which had speakers with passion and personal experiences to add real depth to the discussions.
- One of the best conferences on the cyber calendar. Small, but perfectly formed!
- A yearly not to be missed event focusing on cyber and rightly so on the human side in this years session
Building on the success of this year’s conference, Northern WARP will continue to strengthen collaboration across the community and expand its programme of events in the years ahead.
