iNetwork’s Innovative Access to Public Services Programme (IAPS) hosted its quarterly Digital Managers forum in October. Andrew Whittaker, North Yorkshire County Council, delivered a remarkable session on The Local Government Digital Service Standard.
15 colleagues from over 10 regional and national organisations attended the morning session. A consensus on utilising iNetwork’s Digital Managers Forum as a vehicle to further explore, implement and develop the Standard throughout the North of England was achieved.

Attendees commented that the session was “very insightful”, and that they gained “lots of practical tips and advice” and “learned more about this Standard and how it can/could be applied”. Attendees also remarked that the Standard is a “great way to help deliver consistent digital projects”.
Please visit the LocalGov Digital website to find out more about the Standard and how it could help enhance your organisation’s digital services.
The Standard will be frequently revisited at future IAPS Digital Manager Forums, due to its overarching stance and impact on everything digital within the sector. The next Forum will be held in January 2017. Confirmation of the Forum’s date, venue details and the full agenda will shortly be posted on iNetwork’s event page. Please check for updates in the coming days and weeks to register for this event. We hope to see you there.
