At iNetwork, we believe in fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and providing essential support to our members.
This March, we are excited to announce two pivotal events designed to create support groups specifically tailored for procurement professionals and those navigating the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) process.
These sessions will promote mutual guidance and encourage the sharing of best practices while serving as platforms for addressing common challenges. By creating a supportive environment, we aim to foster collaboration, enabling our members to engage in continuous learning and growth. These events present a valuable opportunity to connect, share experiences, and work together to develop effective solutions.
Procurement Act Peer Support Group
With the new Procurement Act set to become effective on Monday 24th February, the first event held online on Wednesday 5th March, will be the introductory session to the new Procurement Act Peer Support Group. This initiative is crafted to provide procurement professionals with a supportive environment as they adapt to the upcoming changes.
Throughout this series, members will have the chance to engage with key stakeholders, including representatives from the Cabinet Office and the Local Government Association (LGA). They will share valuable updates, answer questions, and provide insights into how these new regulations will influence procurement practices.
We will also be hosting guest speakers who will delve into best practices, innovative strategies, and the opportunities presented by the new regulations.
Here are a few key features of joining the Procurement Act Peer Support Group Event:
- Direct access to representatives from the Cabinet Office and LGA, providing a unique opportunity to ask questions and give feedback on the new procurement regulations.
- The first meeting aims to identify specific areas where members need support, helping shape the content of future gatherings to ensure relevancy and effectiveness.
- The session will include a closed forum where members can candidly discuss issues and feedback without external parties present. This safe environment will encourage open dialogue and enable us to anonymously relay insights to stakeholders.
By initiating this support group immediately following the implementation of the Procurement Act, we aim to facilitate early feedback that is crucial for successful navigation of this period of change.

Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) Peer Support Group
In addition to our Procurement Act support group, we are thrilled to launch the CAF Peer Support Group, which will serve as a resource for members engaged in the Cyber Assessment Framework process. This inaugural session will introduce participants to the series and outline the CAF process while directing them to available guidance and resources. The aim of the group is to:
- To mutually support each other and look for opportunities for collaboration to save time, effort and finances.
- To act as a line of communication between MHCLG and authorities undertaking the CAF
- To help shape and improve the CAF process for the local public sector
- Provide a safe space for open discussion and sharing
Here are a few key features of joining the CAF Peer Support Group Event:
- Each session will feature updates from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) alongside guest speakers who will provide guidance and share best practices related to the CAF process.
- The first part of the meeting will include a high-level overview of the CAF process to familiarise members, while also offering a feedback session to understand what specific topics and support members seek in future instalments.
- The second part of the session will be designated for closed member discussions. This space will encourage attendees to share their experiences, pose questions, and discuss any challenges they’re facing within the CAF framework. The insights gathered will be anonymised and relayed to MHCLG to enhance the CAF process for all members.
