The much-anticipated Procurement Act 2023 officially came into force on the 24th of February 2025, marking a significant shift in public sector procurement. Designed to simplify and enhance flexibility in procurement processes, the act ultimately aims to improve the delivery of public services.
To support our members in understanding and adapting to these changes, iNetwork has launched its own Procurement Act Peer Support Group – a dedicated space for procurement professionals to connect, exchange insights, and navigate the new regulations together.
The sessions bring together key stakeholders, such as the cabinet office and the LGA, and provides a safe space for attendees to raise issues, pain points, questions and share successes with the rest of the group.
With two meetings already held, the discussions have proved invaluable, allowing professionals to share experiences, ask questions, and directly feedback to key stakeholders.
As procurement professionals become more familiar with the new processes under the act, the peer support group will expand its focus, welcoming guest speakers to explore best practices, innovative approaches, and emerging opportunities provided by the new regulations.
Want to be part of the conversation? Join us and connect with a community of procurement professionals navigating this transition together! We will be sharing details of the next Procurement Act Peer Support Group soon so keep an eye out for updates!
