For the first time ever, iNetwork has opened its realm of opportunity to industrial student placements from the Manchester Metropolitan University!
Over the last twelve months, we have welcomed our Partnership Support Officer: Molly Platt, as part of the iNetwork family, who joined as an undergraduate placement studying Business Management.
Within Molly’s role supporting the partnership office, she has assisted with our delivery of events, communications, social media, and enhancing all iNetwork activities that foster collaboration and advancement within our network and programs. Throughout her time Molly has provided fresh insights, new ideas, and an additional skillset to the team.
Molly has quoted the following about her experience with iNetwork:
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at iNetwork, from working with such a supportive team to networking with public sector professionals across the sector, each day has been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to iNetwork through a range of creative and diverse tasks, including; assisting with the communications and social media, in-person and online event support, blog writing, and so much more!
I particularly enjoyed the creative element of my role, including enhancing the social media channels and communications for iNetwork. Through content creation, implementing promotional plans, and creating branding assets, I have deepened my understanding of engaging and communicating with audiences with precision and purpose. I have developed my skills in using and navigating content creation platforms, gaining confidence in producing engaging and innovative materials tailored to unique audiences.
Another highlight of my placement has been assisting in the delivery of iNetwork events. These were valuable opportunities to engage in the event’s promotion and communications, gain fresh perspectives and insights from inspiring speakers, and widen my knowledge on a plethora of unique topics.
Alongside event participation, I have thoroughly enjoyed the networking opportunities, connecting with professionals across the public sector not only helped me develop insights into unique roles, but has also enabled me to confidently develop my rapport building and communication skills.
Over the course of my placement, I have built an invaluable network of colleagues and professionals, whose support, insights, and guidance have greatly enriched my placement experience.
By being a part of the iNetwork team, I have recognised the importance of collaboration, growth, and innovation in creating positive change across the sector, I feel incredibly lucky to have been presented the opportunity to contribute to this organisation. I look forward to leveraging my skills and building upon these experiences in my future career!”
We wish Molly all of the best in her future endeavours and final year at University!
